- Secure fencing and overhead protection where needed against hawks and owls; guardian animals (like dogs or geese) in some areas help deter small predators.
- Close observation of flock behavior: free-ranging doesn’t mean uncontrolled. We maintain healthy flock size, monitor for stress and provide safe night-time shelter.
